BLCK VC: Board Service on Venture-Backed Companies
BLCK VC, the African American Directors Forum (AADF), Gunderson Dettmer and Spencer Stuart invite you to our upcoming event on “Board Service on Venture-Backed Companies.” The event, part of our Black Thought Leaders series, will take place on Tuesday, May 25th at 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm PT (5:00 pm – 6:30 pm ET).
An engaged and experienced Board of Directors can help guide a company to success. For many early-stage investors that join the boards of portfolio companies, they play an integral role in advising the companies through some of the most challenging periods of their life cycle. Being an effective board member is challenging, it requires a varying array of skills, like sector expertise, governance, strategy, and emotional intelligence.
Join us for our next event as a part of our Black Thought Leaders Series on “Board Service on Venture-Backed Companies” to learn best practices on how to effectively support venture-backed companies in which you hold a board seat. This isn’t just another panel discussion; you will be able to dive into an interactive event in which you’ll connect with and learn from investors and independent board directors with significant experience as board members.
