Competition has gotten stiff as e-commerce platforms like Shopify have made it easier than ever to launch an online brand. At the same time, changes to consumer
privacy policies like those made by Apple this year are making it difficult for DTC brands to reach new customers.

Insider found 20 of the best DTC brands for people to bet their career on in 2022, focusing on companies that are raising venture capital and currently hiring. In order to make the list, companies also had to have strong Glassdoor reviews.
The brands’ CEOs shared their plans for 2022 with Insider, as well as what makes their companies a great place to work. They’ll be competing for talent as millions of workers have quit their jobs in 2021, many in search of higher wages, better benefits and working conditions, or altogether new opportunities.
Thrive Market

Why you should bet your career on this company: The metaverse has attracted lots of attention lately. Genies, which makes avatars that people can use in the metaverse, has a jump on the competition: In May, it raised $65 million in Series B funding to expand its digital goods business, including getting into the world of resale.
