Fair acquires fleet management platform Skurt
Just a week after acquiring the leasing portfolio of Xchange Leasing from Uber, Fair the flexible car-ownership startup made another move. The company confirmed that it has raised another round of funding and it has made another acquisition, of Los Angeles-based Skurt, a service that lets you rent a car, and then delivers that vehicle to you.
The acquisition of Skurt helps Fair in quickly scaling a cost-effective platform for vehicle delivery and pickup, as well as fleet management, Fair said. Through Skurt, customer car deliveries can be digitally initiated and tracked through a central dashboard. The platform also provides real-time notifications, fleet-location tracing and instant communications while the car is being delivered.
