MaC Venture Capital portfolio company Aeon is partnering with European defense technology company Destinus to bring advanced interceptor manufacturing to the United States.
Together, the companies are developing ASTRA, a layered air defense system designed to address evolving aerial threats while improving affordability and production capacity.
The partnership has already reached a significant milestone, with Aeon and Destinus selected as one of 10 finalists in the U.S. Army’s xTech|Apex Intercept competition.
With plans to manufacture Destinus’ Hornet interceptors at Aeon’s Texas facility, this collaboration represents an important step in expanding domestic defense manufacturing.
